PIRELLI

Pirelli was founded in 1872 by Giovanni Battista Pirelli in Milan, Italy, and began his production of rubber pneus. Over the years, Pire-lli has become one of the world's largest tire brands, preseminating in more than 160 countries and active in various sectors, including automotive, motorcycle, mechanical sports, industry and technologies.

Pirelli continued to develop and innovate. In 1922, the company created the first low-profile tyre, in 1934 it launched the first radial carcase tire. In the 1950s, Pirelli focused on mechanical sports and began to provide tires for Formula 1. In 1961, Pirelli inaugurated its relapse centre and developed innovative technologies such as the steel belt tire in 1974.
