Custom zonal damping

The evolution of digital 3D printing has allowed us to develop a new saddle without the constraints or limitations imposed by traditional production methods and materials. The adaptive saddle padding is manufactured by Carbon® using its revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis™ technology. DLS is an additive manufacturing process that uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with excellent mechanical properties, resolution, and surface finish.

Lab tested, road proven

Thanks to Carbon technology, biomechanics experts and engineers have an unprecedented opportunity: to design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle , each one tailored separately for specific mechanical properties. Each of these key functional zones is designed for distinct cushioning and mechanical response, gradually and seamlessly integrated within the same padding. The result? A 60% reduction in maximum pressure thanks to improved weight distribution for increased comfort across the entire saddle surface.

Comfort all day long

Aliante is a wavy saddle with a gradual, tapered transition from wing to nose. With a slightly wider platform to support the ischial bones, it improves stability and weight distribution for day rides. Emphasizing comfort, the newly redesigned Aliante has a flatter surface to allow for more even pressure distribution and a balanced feel, especially beneficial on extended endurance rides.

Less pressure = longer circulations

The 3D-printed Aliante Adaptive padding was designed to provide every cyclist with the right support, regardless of riding position, for long days in the saddle. The unique properties of our Adaptive technology allow us to design thicker padding with a softer central functional zone, instead of a cutout, increasing the saddle surface area to better distribute saddle and thus improving comfort on longer rides. The Aliante R1 Adaptive saves weight thanks to a newly designed 7x9 mm carbon rail.
